2017 Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Monarchy Majesty 6 – Imperial Blue
Beautiful 2017 Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Monarchy Majesty 6 finished in Imperial Blue. This one has a particularly attractive flame maple shield, with strong figuring that really comes alive underneath the translucent blue finish.
The Monarchy represents one of the more premium iterations of the Majesty platform, pairing a mahogany body with a highly figured maple top and mahogany neck through construction. The ebony fretboard, stainless steel frets and deeply sculpted body and neck joint give the Majesty the exceptionally fast feel and nearly unrestricted upper fret access that the model has become known for.
Electronics are a huge part of what makes these guitars special. A pair of DiMarzio Sonic Ecstasy humbuckers handles the magnetic side, while the Music Man floating tremolo incorporates a piezo system for acoustic style tones. The magnetic pickups and piezo can be used independently or blended together, giving the Majesty an enormous range of sounds without ever putting the guitar down. It also features Music Man’s active electronics with an onboard gain boost, along with the switching options and mono/stereo capability that make the Majesty an exceptionally versatile instrument both live and in the studio.
Cosmetically, this guitar would be an easy excellent condition example if not for two areas on the headstock. There is a small ding along the edge of the headstock along with some finish wear at the very top from previous use of a clip on tuner. Both areas are shown clearly in the photos. Outside of those spots, the guitar presents extremely well. The Imperial Blue finish is gorgeous, and the flame figuring on this particular example is especially nice.

The guitar has been tested and is fully functional and playable as it sits. As with any used instrument, setup preferences are highly personal, so it has not been professionally set up prior to sale. Depending on your preferred string gauge, action, tuning and playing style, you may want to have it dialed in to your individual preferences after purchase. It will be carefully packed and shipped in its original hardshell case.
