Gibson Les Paul Standard 60’s 2005 – Lightburst

This is one of those Les Pauls that makes you stop scrolling and actually zoom in. A 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard 60’s in Lightburst, and the top is doing absolutely irresponsible things. The flame is fat, wide, and three-dimensional, with that deep ribboning that shifts as you move it under the light. This is not a subtle top. This is a “how did this leave the factory?” top.

It’s the classic early-2000s Standard formula done right. Solid, resonant, and unapologetically Les Paul. Big low end, chewy mids, and that singing top end that makes bends feel endless. Chords stay thick and piano-like, single notes bloom and hang, and the whole guitar just feels alive in your hands. It’s the kind of instrument that rewards digging in but still cleans up beautifully when you back off.

Condition is very good overall. There’s some genuine play wear and a couple honest bumps and bruises from actually being used as a guitar, not a case queen or wall prop. Nothing structural, nothing weird, just the kind of wear you expect on a 20-year-old Les Paul that’s done what it was built to do.

It’s been upgraded with Kluson locking tuners for improved tuning stability and easier string changes, and the original tuners are included as well if you want to return it to stock. Comes with a non-original hardshell case that does the job and keeps it protected.

If you’re hunting for a Les Paul with real attitude, real flame, and that unmistakable early-2000s Gibson feel, this one checks all the right boxes. The top alone is enough to make you rethink your current lineup.

This is the kind of Les Paul people talk about when they say “they don’t make them like this anymore.”
