Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul 2014 – Light Burst
 
A seriously cool example from Gibson’s Memphis era, this 2014 ES-Les Paul combines the familiar feel and appointments of a Les Paul with the open, resonant character of Gibson’s ES-style semi-hollow construction. At only 5 lbs 15.1 oz, it is remarkably light and feels completely different on the shoulder from a traditional solid-body Les Paul.
 
The Light Burst finish shows off a beautifully figured maple top, complemented by the striking dark-finished back and sides. One of the particularly classy details on these is the double-bound body, with cream binding outlining both the top and back and providing a great contrast against the dark sides.
 
Built by Gibson Memphis, the ES-Les Paul uses a laminated maple body with a mahogany center block and spruce bracing, giving it much of the warmth and acoustic response associated with an ES while retaining the compact dimensions and control layout of a Les Paul. A mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, 24.75" scale length, ABR-style bridge and stopbar tailpiece round out the traditional Gibson appointments.
 
The guitar is equipped with Gibson MHS (Memphis Historic Spec) humbuckers, designed around vintage PAF-style characteristics with an articulate, open response that pairs particularly well with the semi-hollow construction. Traditional independent volume and tone controls for each pickup and a three-way selector keep everything familiar.
 
This example is all original with no modifications or repairs and is in Excellent condition. There is only very light buckle rash from normal handling and no notable dings that we can find. The frets retain approximately 90% of their life.
 
It includes the original Gibson hardshell case as well as the original Gibson Memphis

A note regarding the serial number: the serial on the back of the headstock is incredibly difficult to photograph. The numbers were stamped very lightly at the factory, and combined with the black finish, they are nearly impossible to capture clearly in photos.
 
The serial is present and matches the included Gibson Memphis COA.
