Hofner German Made 500/2-CV-0 Club Bass 2024 - Dark Sunburst
 
A stunning example of Hofner’s German-made H500/2-CV-0 Club Bass, handcrafted in Hagenau, Bavaria and finished in Dark Sunburst. This is the premium German-built Club Bass, featuring traditional fully hollow construction and the close “Cavern” pickup spacing that distinguishes the CV model.
 
This particular bass is in Near Mint condition and presents exceptionally close to new. There is virtually no evidence of play that we can find, with an exceptionally clean finish, hardware, fretboard and frets. The flamed maple back and sides are especially beautiful, with substantial figuring and depth beneath the sunburst finish.
 
Construction features a spruce top with flamed maple back and sides, a three-piece maple neck with beech reinforcement, and a bound rosewood fingerboard. The 30" scale and 42mm nut provide the compact, comfortable feel associated with the classic Hofner design, while the fully hollow construction keeps the bass remarkably light at just 4 lbs 14.3 oz.
 
The original certificate identifies this instrument as model H500/2-CV-0, serial number Z1211H070, built by Thomas Stühlein and completed February 27, 2024 in the Hofner workshops in Hagenau, Bavaria, Germany.
 
Included is the original Hofner hardshell case, certificate, vintage strap, case candy and tags. The case candy and tags remain wrapped in their original plastic and were intentionally left unopened rather than disturbed simply for photographs.
 
Between its condition, complete original package, extremely light weight and beautifully figured maple, this is an exceptionally well-preserved example of the German-made Club Bass.
