Godin LGX AA Flame 1998 – Translucent Amber
This 1998 Godin LGX is a perfect snapshot of why Godin dominated the late-90s with their build quality and attention to detail. The AA flame maple top is drenched in a warm Translucent Amber gloss that shows off all the rippling grain without going over the top—classy, clean, and super eye-catching under light. It’s that understated boutique look Godin does better than almost anyone.
Tonally, this thing is loaded. You’ve got a set of Seymour Duncan pickups delivering warm, articulate electric tones with great punch and clarity, plus a built-in piezo system that gives you acoustic-style shimmer on demand. Blend them and you get those huge, dimensional textures the LGX is famous for—big ringing chords, crisp percussive picking, or wide stereo-friendly cleans that fill a mix effortlessly.
Condition is very good overall. It’s been played and enjoyed, so expect some minor bumps and bruises in the finish, but nothing that affects performance or looks out of place on a well-loved 25-year-old instrument. The neck feels great, the frets are healthy, and it has that smooth, broken-in responsiveness you only get from a seasoned guitar.
Comes with the original hardshell case.
If you’re after a high-end Godin with an AA flame top, Duncans, and a super-usable piezo system—all without boutique-level pricing—this LGX is exactly the kind of sleeper gem you want to grab.
