Santa Cruz H13 2008 Sunburst
If you know, you know. The Santa Cruz H13 has quietly become one of those “lifer” guitars for a lot of players. Small body comfort with a shockingly huge voice, vintage-inspired styling, and the kind of responsiveness that makes you play differently the second you pick it up.
This 2008 H13 is an absolute vibe machine.
Inspired by the old Nick Lucas-style guitars, the H13 blends a compact body with a deeper build and longer scale length to create a guitar that sounds dramatically bigger than it looks. Tons of projection, rich mids, dry woody character, and a sweetness up top that makes fingerstyle playing addictive. It has that “already mixed in the studio” quality where every note feels balanced and musical without effort.
This one features a Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, giving it a warm, focused, and incredibly articulate voice. The ebony fingerboard and bridge, slotted headstock, pyramid bridge, V-shaped mahogany neck, and gorgeous Santa Cruz purfling details all come together exactly how you’d expect from one of the most respected small-shop builders in the world.
The sunburst on this guitar is flat-out gorgeous too. Old-world classy without feeling flashy. Looks like it belongs in a dimly lit studio surrounded by ribbon mics, old Martins, and unfinished songs.
Condition is Very Good overall. There are some honest signs of use, light handling wear, and a few small bumps and marks throughout consistent with a well-loved 2008 acoustic. Nothing excessive or structurally concerning. Just the kind of wear that makes a guitar feel broken-in instead of precious.
Includes the original TKL hard case.
As always, all guitars are tested and fully playable when they leave the shop. That said, guitars can naturally shift during shipping and changes in temperature or humidity, so a minor setup or adjustment may be needed upon arrival.
